Investigation nearing end

In early January following complaints by all whistleblowers, Graham Burgess acted decisively to enforce the contract with the investigated company, which entitled WBC to examine records from the contract. He sent a 7-day warning letter on hearing for first time the evasions that the company had practised to prevent the investigators entering their premises.

Mr Hampson and his assistant have interviewed former clients with a view to establishing whether allegations of fraud are justified. In Mr Maddock’s case there is strong evidence of the same for which we are not indebted to Grant Thornton.

I have written to council questioning why the scope of the Grant thornton investigation is limited to the company and does not include the council officers who were supervisors.

We expect a report by start of March 2013, over 2 months longer than expected to take mostly due to evasions of the client company. Some £40,000 has been spent of rate-payers money so I hope thast with this deputized posse a tangible result will ensue.
